Protect an existing export or preserve the phone that still contains Simply Plural and its local data.
Simply Plural data recovery
Your Simply Plural data may still be recoverable.
If Simply Plural still exists on your phone and still shows your System, preserve that phone. Do not uninstall the app, clear its data, or factory-reset the device.
We have successfully recovered structured Simply Plural data from a Samsung Galaxy S24+ after shutdown, without relying on an existing Simply Plural export.
Choose your recovery path
Path A — You already have a Simply Plural export
- Keep your export private and under your control.
- Keep at least two backups in separate locations.
- Use this export path first if your app already supports Simply Plural imports.
Path B — You do not have an export
- If Simply Plural still shows your System on-device, preserve that phone immediately.
- Do not uninstall Simply Plural, clear app data, or factory-reset the phone.
- Use phone backup recovery paths where supported.

Samsung Galaxy S24+: data extraction available now.
Google Pixel 10a: investigation started.
Apple iPhone 16: investigation in progress.
For plural-app developers
If your app already supports Simply Plural imports, you can use our phone export documentation to add native import paths for users who no longer have export files.
Recovery docs and scripts are published so users can recover locally without sending private System data to Needs of the Many / PluralBridge.
What we recovered
On a Samsung Galaxy S24+, recovery produced structured Simply Plural JSON instead of screenshots or screen-scraped text.
- Member records and profile data.
- Fronting history and timestamps.
- Custom fields and privacy buckets.
- Channels, friends, and friend settings.
- System and user information plus additional cached records.
Avatar recovery is still in progress. Member records retain avatar identifiers, but a complete machine-readable member-to-image mapping is not yet available.
What to do now
- If you already have an export, keep it private and backed up.
- If you do not have an export, preserve the phone and avoid app-data resets.
- Keep recovered JSON, phone backups, and recovery artifacts private.
- Keep Simply Plural data out of public repos, paste sites, screenshots, and support threads.
- Do not send your export, recovered JSON, or backup files to Needs of the Many / PluralBridge.
